This is one of the most interesting and engagingly sad novels that I have read. The unique characterisation of the narration and the non-linear plot offers a truly omniscient perspective. A fantastic read!
Read February 2012
This was a fantastic, original read. The protagonist was an intricate and believable character who grew and developed throughout the novel. The plot was engaging as each chapter introduces more intrigue. Most of all, I enjoyed reading this novel as it wasn’t predictable or clichéd. I highly recommend The Messenger for everyone 15+.
