The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Book ThiefThe Book Thief by Markus Zusak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of the most interesting and engagingly sad novels that I have read. The unique characterisation of the narration and the non-linear plot offers a truly omniscient perspective. A fantastic read!

The Messanger by Markus Zusak

The MessengerThe Messenger by Markus Zusak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a fantastic, original read. The protagonist was an intricate and believable character who grew and developed throughout the novel. The plot was engaging as each chapter introduces more intrigue. Most of all, I enjoyed reading this novel as it wasn’t predictable or clich├ęd. I highly recommend The Messenger for everyone 15+.
